Paintings at Kielder

AN exhibition of paintings by Cambo artist, Michelle Milburn, titled Tracks Through Northumbria, is open to visitors to Kielder Castle until June 27.

Michelle, who turned professional last year, works in soft pastels and her work features subjects ranging from Hexham Abbey, rugged landscapes and windswept hillforts.

She said: “My family has worked on the land for centuries and the countryside runs through my veins. I find endless inspiration in magnificent monuments, wild countryside and big skies. I hope visitors to my exhibition will be able to share the love I feel for my native land.”
