First published in 1990, in issue 10 of The Northumbrian.

HUNTING is an anachronism, feudal, a barbaric sport performed by rural vandals who dress up in fancy costume, climb onto a bewildered horse, blow a trumpet in its ear, and gallop off with a bunch of dim witted dogs in search of a fox who’s much cleverer than all of them.
